Return to Tax Guides

End Note

While many US taxpayers are aware of their filing requirements for individual income, this is less so for businesses in which they have interests or in which they are officers or partners. The burden for US taxpayers to comply with the above, must surely put them at a competitive disadvantage with those from other countries. Especially, for small businesses. But there again, whoever said that the tax laws were comprehensible, sensible, fair, or equitable!

So, if you do not like the tax laws, write to your elected representative. Remind them that if they cannot understand the laws they enacted or gave others the power to create, embellish, or change, that you, the citizen tax filer should not be expected to understand them or comply with them. Challenge them to come and explain, in all gory detail the laws, rules, regulation, court cases, and filing requirements to you. Let them show you how it is done! Let them explain to you how the laws make the US competitive internationally, increase US exports, and make the US economy more productive, efficient, and increase the US standard of living.
